These brownies are from a family cookbook my sister put together a few years ago. My cousin Becky contributed this recipe, and these brownies are excellent! They are very easy to make, and I almost always have all the ingredients on hand (which is both a good thing and a bad thing). For this recipe, I'm going to post it on here and include a link to a printable version here. Let me know what you think!
Becky’s Brownies
2 cups sugar
½ cup cocoa
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1½ cups flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in 2-quart dish. Add sugar, cocoa, salt, and vanilla. Mix well. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Add flour and mix. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- For a little extra chocolate, add 1 cup chocolate chips to the batter before baking. Toffee bits are an excellent addition as well!
- Cream cheese frosting is also a good addition to these brownies.
some reason i never saw this post till today! this is my FAVORITE brownie recipe!!
